Upgraded physics and chemistry laboratory opens for Class IX – X

New benches, fume extraction and a full set of practical kits mean every student now performs every experiment.

The renovated science laboratory was opened on 18 August by the president of the managing committee. It now seats forty students at a time, with gas and water points at every bench and a new fume-extraction system.

With a complete set of practical kits for the national curriculum, every Class IX and X science student can now perform each prescribed experiment individually rather than watching a demonstration.

The laboratory will also host the preparatory rounds of the inter-house Science & Innovation Fair in October.
